Become a Volunteer
The Nominations Committee of Tower Credit Union are seeking suitable candidates to serve on the Board and Board Committees.
In keeping with the ethos of the credit union movement Tower Credit Union strives to deliver a range of high-quality financial services to its members. The Credit Union also supports community projects and activities, serving its members residing and working in our common bond covering, Clondalkin, Neillstown, Rathcoole, Saggart, Newcastle, Brittas, Citywest, Greenhills and Celbridge.
The volunteer must have the willingness to support the Credit Union at Board and Board Committee level in order to:
- Ensure that services provided meet the needs of the members
- Provide new skills and perspectives to members and volunteers
- Enable volunteers to develop and contribute to all areas of the Credit Union
- Increase visibility of the Credit Union in the community
- Maintain an independent public presence to ensure accountability to the wider community.

Our Story
We now serve a large geographical area including Brittas, Celbridge, Citywest, Clondalkin, Greenhills, Neilstown, Newcastle, Park West, Rathcoole and Saggart.

1962
Tower Credit Union Ltd (formerly known as Clondalkin Credit Union Ltd) was founded on Friday 28th September 1962 at a general meeting held in the library on Monastery Road. Forty five people were present at the inaugural general meeting.
1966
Clondalkin Credit Union was the first credit union to register with the Registrar of Friendly Societies following the passing of the Credit Union Act, 1966.
2015
On the 29th of September 2015, The Four Corners Credit Union merged with Clondalkin Credit Union.
2017
On the 15th of September 2017, Neillstown Credit Union merged with Clondalkin Credit Union.
2018
Tower Credit Union, rebranded on 30th July 2018.
2019
On the 18th June 2019, Tower Credit Union opened its doors in CItywest Shopping Centre, extending our services to the wider common bond.
