SMS Fraud Alert – Be Vigilant
A new SMS scam is currently circulating, falsely claiming to be from the credit union. The message alleges multiple failed login attempts and urges the recipient to reset their password by clicking a link or calling a mobile number.
This message did NOT come from Tower Credit Union. Do NOT click on any links or engage with the sender.
Important Safety Reminders for Members:
Official Tower Credit Union SMS messages come from a verified account displaying the sender name “TowerCU.” Messages from other numbers claiming to be from your credit union are likely fraudulent
Credit unions will never ask members to reset passwords, verify account details, or take urgent action via SMS links or unsolicited phone numbers
Do not click links, reply to messages, or call any numbers included in unexpected or suspicious texts
If you are concerned about your account, contact your credit union directly using official contact details
Delete suspicious messages immediately and report them to your credit union as soon as possible
